Most people know me as a Public Speaking Coach. I’ve helped people hone their skills of communication from 1:1 job interviews to auditoriums. Over the years I’ve used these skills to build my own business. I know first-hand that clear, persuasive communication is the basis for a successful business.
However, the most profound lessons I’ve ever learnt didn't come from a business setting. I spent 5 years volunteering in volatile refugee camps where I saw communication wasn't just an optional extra on a workshop, it was a survival skill. I learned how to de-escalate, how to lead through crisis and how to find common ground in dangerous and deeply confrontational situations.
So whether you’re speaking to a boardroom or navigating a difficult conversation with a single stakeholder, the principles are the same: Confident communication helps you connect and get real results.

Founder and Coach
I launched my first business (which is still ongoing) when I left school at the age of 16. From that early age I realised to get on in life and the business world communication is key.
For 30 years, I’ve honed my communication skills to secure clients and build connections. I’ve learnt how to turn a conversation into a contract and a pitch into a partnership. Throughout my life I’ve had audiences of up to 10,000 people, sharing insights on connection and growth. But whether I’m speaking to a stadium or a single person, the goal remains the same: to make every word connect and count.
However, my true passion lies in helping others find their own path in life and the business world. I’ve spent years helping others move from the "idea phase" to a fully operational, successful business. I’ve helped budding entrepreneurs, young adults from troubled backgrounds and refugees realise their dreams of setting up their own businesses. I’ve seen first hand how teaching people to communicate with confidence and clarity can be the catalyst that gets them on their feet.
Here at The AV Connection, my goal is to share with you the practical, battle-tested communication strategies I’ve used for three decades.
